COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE

ADJECTIVES

1. We generally add the adjective -er.

small- smaller

2. If the adejective ends in -e, we only add -r.

large- larger

3. When the adjective ends in consonant, vowel and consonant, we double the last consonant.

big-bigger

4. When the adjective ends in -y, it changes into -i.

pretty-prettier
